Ouch! Breaking bones is not fun at all but it sounds like you were very brave.
I broke my wrist a long time ago however I still remember that it hurt. The doctors were amazing though and put a cast on and it was healed up pretty quick. Did you get a cool coloured cast? Mine was purple.
